Fine line work is done with a single needle or a tight grouping, laid in light passes so the line stays thin without tearing at the skin. It suits botanicals, small script, thin geometry, and anything where the drawing lives or dies on one clean stroke. Spacing matters more than anywhere else, because ink spreads a little as it heals and detail packed too tightly will close up over the years.

Bring the reference and we will talk honestly about size. A design that works at four inches often needs simplifying at two, and the artist would rather redraw it than shrink it. Expect a quieter session, careful line placement, and a piece that still looks like the drawing a decade from now.
